Sunday weather looks like a beautiful day for a BBQ. Bring your own meat to grill and sides to share. We will provide drinks.
> It's our Sunday on the 25th to make sure the church is cleaned BEFORE service. Kendall will be organizing this.
> October 2, is our weekend to serve in kids. I believe we have 4 spots at the 8:30 and 2 spots at the 10. Please let Shelley know when you would like to serve. No community this evening.
> Oct 9, We need a host, Shelley is running the marathon and would love someone to step in and host. You pick the time of day and meal and we will be there. Thanks!!
> The holidays are upon us and we have a couple ideas of blessing others in our community, and beyond, that all members of our families can participate in. If we all work together and pool our resources together, I think we would be surprised at how far we can stretch those resources.
1. We could do Operation Christmas Child boxes as a community and pack them up on
November 13. National collection week is Nov. 14-21
2. We could gather blankets and sheets, jackets, warm cozy socks, and canned goods and take them to the Caring Closet at Tigard high. Really, anything you think a family in need would like to have, we can gather it and deliver.
3. If you know of a family in need, we could bless them before Thanksgiving and/or Christmas with necessities, groceries and gifts.
I can do a Crock-Pot of chili, and a spot at the 8:30.
